Welcome to IDPA with WHSC

West Houston Shooters Club is an International Defensive Pistol Association affiliated club & has been since 2000 when the club was created as an IDPA only club. 

We shoot IDPA matches every Wednesday & the 1st Saturday of every month & we also hold IDPA Classifiers regularly, usually 1 or more a month. 

If you enjoy practical pistol shooting in a realistic scenario based environment, this is for you!  Concealed handgun license holders, men and women alike, can learn and practice self-defense tactics for responsible concealed carry and enhanced personal security.  Competitive shooters can enjoy the pistol match competition, and everyone can shoot for personal improvement or just for fun.  IDPA matches involve shooting on-the-move, shooting multiple targets, shooting from cover, shooting moving targets all with a heavy emphasis on accuracy!

According to the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) rule book “Contestants may only shoot one IDPA match as a non-IDPA member. Competitors wishing to shoot additional matches must become IDPA members.”
